Macy’s is set to celebrate its 98th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, Nov. 28. The famed event is set to feature 34 floats, 11 marching bands, 28 clown crews, 11 performance groups and more.

What time does the Macy’s parade start?
The parade will run from 8:30 a.m. until noon. The event will air on TV and streaming from 8:30 a.m. to noon in all time zones.
Where to watch Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024
The parade is set to air live on NBC. It will be cast simultaneously on Peacock, which currently has a Black Friday deal offering an annual subscription for $19.99, or $11.94 for six months (paid monthly). People can also watch the event on streaming services that air NBC like Fubo and YouTube TV.
Pro-Palestinian protesters arrested for interrupting Thanksgiving parade
Pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested for blocking the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday.
For the second year in a row, the demonstrators jumped the barriers and ran into West 55th Street just before 9:30 a.m.
The exact charges the protesters will be facing are still pending.
There have been international calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, but numerous efforts to reach an agreement to end fighting have not succeeded. More than 40,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the war started on Oct. 7, 2023.
The first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in 1927. It’s been a holiday tradition ever since.
Who’s hosting the 2024 thanksgiving day parade?
The event will be hosted by Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker (who is hosting the event for the 29th time) of NBC’s “Today.”
