A female student shot herself at Antioch High School in Nashville, killing another female student and wounding another. Two children were injured in a shooting at a high school. According to CNN, the shooter was allegedly another student and targeted other students in the cafeteria.
POLICE DEPARTMENT SAID:
Nashville Police Department said the shooter committed suicide after the incident at 11 a.m. The female student died from her injuries. It has been confirmed that the shooter shot himself.

In the same news release, Metro Schools announced that students will be taken by bus to Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital (3754 Murfreesboro Pike) after being released by Metro Police. Please do not come to Antioch High School. “Thank you,” they added. The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded to the scene, WSMV 4 reported.

The school district (@MetroSchools) released the following statement to X: “Antioch High School has been placed on lockdown due to a shooting that occurred on school grounds.
